Type of Information we collect

At BetterWheels, we collect the following information about our users:

Automated Collection
This information is collected automatically every time users interact with our websites or apps. We collect this information through the use of various technologies, including but not limited to Cookies, Pixel Tags and Web Beacons. We may collect your IP address, browsing behavior and device IDs, hardware models, device type and operating system version. We will use this information to custom tailor user experience and to improve overall user experience. Additionally, we may gather data about application-level events and link this to your account to enhance customer experience and service.

Some web browsers offer a "do not track" feature that sends signals to the websites you visit, indicating that you prefer not to have your online activities tracked. This differs from blocking or deleting cookies, as browsers with the "do not track" feature enabled may still accept cookies. Currently, there is no established standard for how to respond to this signal, and we do not take any action in response to it.

We reserve the right to utilize the general data collected from your use of the BetterWheels website or apps, including all statistical information. You acknowledge that we have the right to use it at our sole discretion.

When you use our website and apps, we may also derive your approximate location from your IP address. IP based location services allow for us to provide services to our customers within their specific area.

Information collected through third-party sources
We may employ the use of various third-party services to customize and improve our offers and promotional content, improve service, optimize site interaction and for general marketing efforts. We may collect user data through various services, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

In most cases this data is collected when users interact with our content, advertisement or posts on an external application or website or any website that integrates with our API. We may receive information about you or your connections from that platform. This may include, but is not limited to, your profile information, interests and interaction with our content. The data we receive depends entirely on your privacy settings with the social network.

Account Holder Access & Security

To access account-related features like saved vehicle inspection and account holder information and settings, all account holders must log in using two forms of authentication: a valid username or email address linked to the account and the account password. If you forget your password, you can securely reset it using our automated Forgot Password feature at https://www.BetterWheels.com/forgot-password.For further assistance, you can also contact us by submitting a support ticket via one of our contact forms at https://www.BetterWheels.com/support. To prevent unauthorized access, we strongly encourage you to keep your BetterWheels.com login information secure. This is a security measure to ensure that Personal Data is not disclosed to anyone who is not authorized to receive it. You are solely responsible for keeping your login information and device safe.

Authentication is also required when submitting any secure or billing-related requests. Typically, our support staff can authenticate an account holder if the support ticket is initiated from the email address associated with the account. If contacting support from an unrecognized or unregistered email address, additional authentication is required, such as providing a valid order or receipt number and purchase date. Our support team is strictly prohibited from processing or releasing any personal information without proper user authentication.

Please avoid submitting personal or billing-related requests via voicemail. To ensure security, our support staff cannot collect personal information, including credit card numbers or billing details, over the phone. We do not capture or store phone numbers during the purchase process and voicemail messages are not automatically linked to account usernames, email addresses, or order numbers. Due to the challenges of matching account information from voicemail alone, we cannot authenticate account holders through voicemail. We recommend using our online ticketing system for all support requests.

While we make every effort to ensure the integrity and security of our network and systems, we cannot guarantee that our security measures will prevent unauthorized access, hacking, data loss, or other breaches from ever occurring. You transmit information to us at your own risk.
